Perfect Basic Rice

  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon butter


  • 1 In a saucepan with a good fitting lid bring chicken broth and butter to a boil.
  • 2 Add rice and stir.
  • 3 Cover and reduce heat to medium low. Cook for 20 minutes. DO NOT LIFT LID!
  • 4 Remove from heat and fluff with fork. Serve!
